See Your Environmental Impact in Seconds
Enter the electronics you plan to recycle and we'll estimate the CO₂ emissions you'll prevent, the precious materials recovered, and the e-waste diverted from landfills — using conversion factors from the U.S. EPA and UN Global E-Waste Monitor.
How many of each?
Estimates are based on average device weights and EPA WARM Model factors for electronics recycled vs. landfilled. Actual recovery varies by device condition and processor.

How the numbers are calculated
CO₂ emissions avoided
Derived from the U.S. EPA WARM Model (v15), which estimates ~1.05 metric tons of CO₂-equivalent avoided per short ton of mixed electronics recycled rather than landfilled. We apply that rate to average device weights.
Material recovery
Per-device recovery values come from EPA's "Cleaning Up Electronic Waste" data — e.g., 1 million recycled cell phones yield ~35,274 lb of copper, 772 lb of silver and 75 lb of gold — and the UN Global E-Waste Monitor 2024.
Real-world equivalents
Miles, gasoline and tree-year comparisons use the EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator (2024): 8.887 kg CO₂ per gallon of gasoline, 0.398 kg CO₂ per mile driven, and 21.77 kg CO₂ absorbed per mature tree per year.
Important caveats
These figures are educational estimates. Actual outcomes depend on device condition, the recycler's processes, and downstream material markets. For commercial ESG reporting, request a project-specific impact report when you schedule pickup.
